Every time that I have dinner in Buccanos, I really like it a little more. Our final trip was no exception since the food isn’t just fresh but revolutionary. A very simple fish dish comes alive with the extra spice and sauces they attentively produce that wow taste. The opinion is Cozumel ideal and staff is a good as it gets. Although I really like the toes in sand restaurant using vinyl seats, this is my go to fine evening place on the staircase.
Buccanos is a gorgeous restaurant on the staircase. Since our last trip two years ago they’ve opened the next floor and it’s awesome. The food, as always, is some of the finest on the island. The wine list is more pricey and may use a few more moderate priced bottles.
Unfortunately for us, it had been raining the day we visited Buccanos in Night, which meant people could not sit on the balcony. But that did not stop us from enjoying a superb meal at a very cool indoor area, allowing views to the kitchen. Even though the menu is heavy on lobster dishes we were delighted with what we purchased. The bread they introduced before the meal was really great — tender, fresh out of the oven, and sprinkled with cheese on top. The lobster nachos were to die for, and my lobster mac & cheese dish was excellent — among the favorites in our desk. This location is elegant, modern, and very possibly the most lovely restaurant around Cozumel! The terrace view is magnificent. It was a hot night so we picked inside but certainly talk a walk out when you move…. The wait staff is indeed very careful, the appetizers are adventurous and bold and present with odd twists. Its a tasty menu with variants on the classic Mexican with authentic gourmet flavors. The rates are extremely reasonable for its high quality. They have daily fresh fish specials and fantastic lobster creations. We’re really fortunate to be there on a night maybe not”in year”, since it had been quiet and intimate. We met with the owner, Ines, along with also her son, Bosco who are actually kind men and women who really care for their restaurant and it shows!
