I loved staying in Mahekal Beach Resort, it’s a really lovely hotel, and everything is as advertised. The employees were quite helpful with all the cab bookings and tour arrangement. The food was fairly good. The pools seemed clean, and the beach view was amazing.
We’ve had an incredible time in Mahekal. The amenities and location are excellent, however, the team actually made it. Each the staff are wonderful to us gone out of the way to make our stay pleasurable. A special shout out to Rogelio who’s the nicest guy we have met and has been so amazing to us each morning.
Whether you arrive a few days or several weeks, Playa del Carmen is definitely the place. Your family and friends will love it. The spots to meet are beautiful. It will be an experience you will never forget. And if you care about the accommodation, there are many options. From small hotels to large chain resorts. Mahekal is a charming hotel. Some employees recommended us the cozumel private van tour very near here – you’ll be surprised how close PDC is to Cozumel! The good thing about boutique hotels is the experience. You do not have to deal with hotel chain problems because the customer service is remarkable. I loved it.
We had a small rough arrival with a lengthy test in procedure fraught with problems, but Mahekal left it directly in the finish. After we settled in we understood what a gem this area actually is. The food is good – my husband said”that really is the best fish I have ever had”, dinner, along with my four year old hasn’t corrected so well to fresh food and appreciated it. I felt completely spoiled! The beaches are amazing and pleasant and clear facing several regions of the resort, despite an otherwise busy playa del Carmen. Fantastic place near fifth road with a lot of family friendly entertainment and fantastic restaurants. We had a terrific trip to Tulum ruins and shore in our rental vehicle. The noise in the rooms is somewhat loud alongside the street but after we soaked in a few sunshine and water we slept profoundly regardless. Thank you!
We had a terrific time staying in this hotel. Staff is extremely courteous and friendly, they left us very comfortable. We had a sea view room, beach was only a couple steps away. Beach is preserved very well. Breakfast is unquestionably worth cash, it was great that people opted in for it. Dinner is yummy, very wonderful ambiance in most of the 3 restaurants they’ve onsite. If we see the next time, most likely we’re not going to update to dinner/lunch plan, since there are 4-5 really pleasant restaurants within 5 mins walk, that can be so great, so we’ve got flexibility. We had a most gratifying holiday staying at this hotel. I strongly recommend this place.
Mahekal was a calm, delightful retreat just steps away from the bustle of fifth ave. My sister and I spent a vast majority of our period at/around Fuego, among the numerous restaurants in the hotel. This adventure was SPECTACULAR. The team checked in on us regularly, even if on the beach or lounging on hammocks. From the end of the week that they understood our favored orders also that we adored joyful hour:-RRB- I have been dreaming about the fish tacos (with all the hot sauce!) Because we left. Breakfast is worth mentioning – what a treat – directly on the shore (refreshing juices and coffee ). We miss it. Jesus, Enrique, Fidel, Rubicel, Rodrigo, Antonio, and Isidro.
Two words summarize that location…. absolutely fabulous! A gem in the center of the city but directly on the sea together with all the tranquility which attracts. The comforts are excellent, as is the food whatsoever the restaurants. We’ve had an incredible two weeks over Xmas and new year with our loved ones and it is going to certainly be on our official list! What’s made our stay unique are the wonderful staff. Always grinning always eager to assist! The men in the Fuego restaurant are completely magnificent and their kindness and hospitality is going to be among our very fond memories. All these are those which make Mahekal the heaven it is.
Our family had a relaxing week at Mahekal. The food is excellent! The hotel is tastefully designed and the team is quite friendly. It was our second time in the hotel and we intend to come back to this beautiful place. We like it is located just a short walk from the town, Playa del Carmen so you can explore the town. The resort was also very valuable to organize tours and activities for our family.
